For anyone with HIV/AIDS, what is it like? I mean, the day to day stuff? I'm asking because I'm writing about it (not for a paper or for school or anything) and all I can find about what it's like are poems and artsy articles that only poke at it abstractedly and in the generic. Even a lot of the medical journals are often generic. I realize that it can be different for everyone, though.

Hun I have been infected with HIV now for 5 years now I have to be up in the mornings at 4am for my first meds and then after that I am still working a full time job 8-10 hrs a day In some ways I wish I could turn back the clock to when I did not have this Infections but then I guess we all make mistakes !! As far as going to the doctors office It is like old hand they draw out blood every 3 months usually 6 vials to test for dam near everything and get my results the following week to see how my system is holding out This gives you some Idea of what one person's life is like!!

There's a website called "The Body" that is all about being HIV positive. There's a Message Board for HIV positive people.
