In my opinion, there's no point in replicating food that you have chosen to remove from your diet. Meat contains no carbohydrates but dangerously high levels of both fat and protein. Most of the vegetarian substitutes are made from vegetable proteins, tofu, soya or seitan.
But, to answer your question, I think it is probably a matter of preference. Try out tofu in different forms, as well as TVP (textured vegetable protein) pieces, soya chunks and seitan. See what suits you.

what's unusual to a pair is primary to others. I grew up on venison (deer) and pheasant. My family members hunts, so as that's the place we've been given maximum of our meat. i've got eaten: beef / veal fowl turkey beef ostrich elk bison (buffalo) venison (deer) lamb goat pheasant duck rabbit squirrel alligator snails frog many diverse fish (which is composed of squid and shark) and shellfish i replaced into born and raised a Kansas farm female, lived interior the Midwest my finished life (at the instant Missouri, basically moved out of Kansas approximately 6 months in the past), do no longer enable the place you reside save you from attempting issues you desire to attempt. seek for area of craftsmanship shops at the same time with autonomous butchers and ethnic markets to discover a much better form of ingredients your food market probable would not carry. whilst you're finding to attempt somebody else's cooking of diverse meats, ethnic eating places are your ultimate guess. Indian, Vietnamese, chinese language (authentic chinese language eating places, no longer the Americanized variations), and Ethiopian eating places are a reliable start up. .

Nothing to eat would be better than the things suggested in these answers. The stuff they are eating is dangerous and tastes really bad. They do put a chemical in it that relates to one in cheese and chocolate to make women go crazy for this strange stuff. That is why only we guys say yuck.

I love just about everything that Morning Star Farms makes. Not so into Boca, as for me it's pretty bland.

Seitan or gluten-based meats sold in Asian groceries. It's amazing how much they taste like real meat.
