I myself once was NOT VEGAN, but I am glad that when I WOKE up in this life to the notion of changing my life around I did NOT get caught up on that GROSS eggman's road.... And maybe the eggman comes back to play out for the SEED MAN.

Just think how gross not only the ABUSE which the animal goes thru is, but also how gross it is to put such raped eggs or milk or murdered flesh into your BODY.

The difference between a HUMAN MOTHER(or any animal mother) who breastfeeds her offspring is that SHE(the mother) is doing it voluntarilly....where as when you TAKE from another...well that is just what it is ~ A TAKING, you or I would not want to be "raped out" in that way would WE? I wouldn't....

Oh my, if only people around here understood the benefits of NOT EATING any animal products for both the human body and and environment. I not only think that eggs are gross, but milk as well. If people did their research and didn't judge others by what they don't eat, they would realize there are many benefits to a vegan diet. First of all, a vegan diet can help control and prevent diseases such as diabetes. Second, it's good for your heart because there is no cholesterol being eaten. Third, it's great for the environment because trees aren't being destroyed to set up ranches were cows and chickens are being to raised to die. If the land being used to raise cows to slaughter them was used for produce and vegetables instead, we would feed about 10 times the amount of people. I love being vegan because I am more aware of what I put into my body. I'm more healthier than I have ever been, and I have no craving for meat or eggs or milk anymore. Again, if people did their research, there are TONS of alternatives to get the proper nutrients for a healthy, vegan diet.

Yeah, my boyfriend made the point about the whole eating a chicken's menstral cycle and I do agree, that's pretty creepy. However from a moral stand point, I'm all good with eating Certified Organic eggs since they're not pumped full of hormones or tortured or left in tiny cages in their own excretions. But I do think real vegan have the right idea I'm just not quite there yet. Keep fighting the good fight.

I am SO with you on this one. I have been a vegetarian for the last 7 years and a vegan since about 2 days ago (I FINALLY managed to give up cheese!). I used to LOVE eggs, until I read "Diet for a New America" by John Robbins and he put things into perspective for me. The way the chickens are treated is completely inhumane! Ugh, I am getting sick just thinking about it. But anyway, yes, eating unborn chickens is really disgusting, in so many ways!

Some of things some of you say .... how stupid can you be? Do your research ...chickens are tortured for theyre eggs... every egg you eat is 36 hours of torture for a chicken ... I understand the whole "animlas are ment to be eaten" and I wouldnt relaly have a problem with it if the animals were treated right ... but theyr not tehry tortured jus so you can have eggs or a steak.
Go to a factory farm and see the chickens beaks being cut off and see them dieing from starvation and dehydration ( thats how they get them 2 lay more eggs). You ignorent ******* should do your research before saying **** you know nothing about.

You give vegans a bad name. It's completely unnecessary to come into a vegetarian group and insult people who are at least *trying* to make a difference. I'd much rather see people giving up meat to try and make the world a little better of a place than doing nothing at all. Even if it means they don't give up eggs. Coming in here like a ranting lunatic just makes all vegans look like what the beef council portrays them as - raving militant psychos that want to control everyone's diets. I know this not to be true, but why give that idea to people who are trying their best to be good?

Not I. Perhaps in the struggle to survive over the eons, the squeamishness which may have existed in my ancestors over eating eggs, etc., appears to have been weened away. And since we still survive and thrive, I would guess that there must have been nutritional value in our diet as well. Thank you to the plants and animals who have provided me with life, even if it has meant the end of theirs as it was. Aren't we fortunate to have the luxury of having the time to ponder what we would choose to eat or not? Not that its worth anything.....but as far as I know, I only eat unfertilized chicken eggs, which as far as I know are not embryos, and will not become chicks, nor then chickens. They just stay eggs. Until they are eaten by a perhaps underenlightened (or enlightened), underconflicted (but perhaps hungry) animal of some sort, I imagine, or deteriorate.

Ever watch "Rocky"? It's a classic scene when he takes the 5 eggs, cracks them into a glass and drinks them all in 4 gulps.

Eggs are gross. To me thats like eating an unborn fetus cuz give that egg 2 more weeks and it would've been a baby chicken.

Honestly, you are not going to get any supporters by preaching on yahoo answers. I find absolutely nothing gross about a free-range chicken that naturally lays eggs...What is gross is all the hormones pumped into them and cages stacked upon cages...do your thing...just stop preaching. it's abrasive and annoying. get your message out in a more constructive way. I went to your website and it really turned me off.
