Technically yes, but it also depends on the amount you eat. If you eat one celery stick, sure you burn more than you consume. If you eat a bunch of celery sticks, probably not.

It's not a negative calory - there's no such thing. Celery, apples, beef, bread, beer, or any food has calories in it. The idea about celeries is that it supposedly takes more energy for your body to process it than the food provides. If you're trying to lose weight, eating just celery is a really bad idea. Instead, eat a balanced, varied diet, drink enough water, avoid snacks, and exercise more.

I have heard that about celery, but not apples. Apples are good for you but are about 80 calories for a medium one.

I don't think apples do. But celery contain's so little calories that when you digest it you burn more calories than you ate. Just don't put peanut butter on it because then you have gained calories! lol :)

sitting on ur butt doing nothing will on average burn about 60 calories an hour but no it doesn't give u negative calories, if thats all u eat ur body will burn more than u consume so u'll loose weight-and muscle since there isn't much if any protein or other necessary things

Don't look at food that way, you'll drive yourself crazy. Eat to live rather than living to eat. Choose foods that are lean protein, whole grains, fresh fruits & vegetables. Drink plenty of water. Eat at least 1200 calories per day. Get at least 1 hour of moderate exercise daily. Healthy living is the key :-)
