Taste is not something that you can just talk about, it generally has to be experienced for yourself. Could you answer the question "what does liver taste like?" to someone who has never had any kind of meat? I think you should just try a soy burger or chicken patty, you might be surprised.

Burger King makes a pretty good veggie burger called the "BK Veggie." Boca Burgers are good too, and Boca has a flavor that's meaty. There are a big variety of soy burgers, so you should try a couple. Also, I think they taste better fried or barbecued than microwaved. Some of them have a meaty taste, like hamburger, but without the grease and gritty little pieces of fat that burger has.

It depends on the brand. Morningstar farms breaded patty tastes like chicken. Soy burgers are different then meat burgers but many are pretty close in texture.

They taste great. It's supposed to be food. I think it's a lot better(and less greasy). Try the boca burger at Denny's next time. The chicken patties taste the best from morningstar.

Soy burgers are more about texture. When you try one, dress it up like you were eating a normal burger with ketchup and a bun. If you eat it by itself you are more likely to reject it because it's not what you have been eating all your life. Fake chicken comes with breading so it's similar to a processed chicken patty (only lower in fat). One thing my husband pointed out is that chicken meat tastes like chicken $h!! smells. I made it a point to smell the similarities. Just for fun, see how much aged cheese smells like vomit, especially Parmesan. (Cheese is milk curdled with "stomach enzymes" i.e. vomit).

The taste will vary from brand to brand. I like the soy burgers myself. But cost is a factor. Uh, why don't you buy some and try them out for yourself ? Also remember people are going to give you a different opinion on how they taste. Some people love them, while others don't like them at all.

Taste varies with the brand. Some are gross. My friends like Gardenburger- they also have a faux chicken patty and my favorite, riblets. Don't try just one kind.

well it depends entirely on the brand - there's a wide variety. Some taste nothing like the real thing, but others are surprisingly tasty!
I'd recommend trying morningstar farms products and boca burgers.
