Visitors who call at least 24 hours in advanced, only if they're intending on spending a night or longer.
5-10 minutes is an ok time to call in advanced. Gives us a change to do what we need to do prior to arrival. Especialliy in the day and age of cell phones. That way, if they call, they know whether or not you're even home.

i dont mind people turning up unanounced. I like variety & surprise in my life. If im going out then they will be told that on arrival. If i already have visitors, They can come in and join us and make friends. The more the merrier

I think 24 hours is usually enough notice. I am eight months pregnant and I really don't want people dropping by unexpectedly because then I feel obligated to entertain and cook for them.
