Through sexual acts that include intimate touching. There are cases of people getting HPV of the throat via. oral sex. HPV is one of those stds that isn't transmitted through body fluids but rather skin-on-skin contact.

Through touch if there's any nicks, cuts or scrapes. That's about it. You can have contact with anyone with Warts and you won't catch them unless you have direct contact with them (the warts) and you have an opening in your skin where you touched them.

But, you're more likely to catch it from walking around barefoot somewhere than from someone who has them.

Check out this website. HPV is a sexually transmitted disease--There are several strains of HPV--even some that can cause cellular changes in your cervix that can lead to cancer. Its important to know as much as you can and once you are sexually active to remember your yearly pap smear.
