Mint, lemon juice and parsley are natural breath fresheners..
Alternatively, use some mouthwash, or brush your teeth.

mint leafs are good. Lemon works also.
But whatever you do DO NOT cover it up with gum it makes it worse. My boyfriend tried this once and it made him smell like smelly garlic with spearmint.
Some ppl just have a longer time to process garlic.
Good luck. But please dont cover it up.

Parsley and Cilantro are very good at removing the smells of food. I think that's why in restaurants the use it as a garnish, or so my mother said.

my mother went to eat and she came back w/ the most awful smelling onion-garlic mouth ever

i always carry a small box of breath mints.
it works pretty well.
however the best way to avoid stinky breath is not to eat garlic or onion much.
