Depleted Uranium rounds fired from aiplanes and tanks are designed to penetrate hard targets. The problem is that the dust created by the impact of the shells is corrosive and when inhaled, does damage to the lungs - as most corrosive chemicals do.

Bush probably isn't educated enough to know what Depleted Uranium is or what it does but, the fact is, DU is making American soldiers sick and the Neocons are lying about it - pushing it to the side while they and Israel attack arab countries with impunity.

You can learne everything you need to know about Depleted Uranium here:

Unlike URANIUM, DU is not highly radiological, but the problem is, when it is used it releases corrosive chemicals in the form of aerosols that can be inhaled similar to asbestos fibers andcigarrete smoke - doing ireparable damage.

any sane person will come to the conclusion that this stuff is dangerous and exposing our troops to it is CRIMINAL.
