Ofloxacin should be taken 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals. You also should not take antacids(meds such as TUMS, Maalox, Pepcid etc) within 6 hours before taking this medication or for at least 2 hours after taking it.

If you have not been seen by a doctor to diagnose you, how do you know you should be taking this medication? The dosage of the medication, 200mg is not the correct dosage for treat gonorrhea. You really should see a medical professional for the proper diagnosis, treatment, and follow up care.

Gonorrhea is a very serious STD and can lead to serious complications down the road if not treated properly and cured. It can lead to infertility and many other life long problems.

all medications are different. some r better with, some without.
why?
for some meds, it helps ur body absorb more of the medicine with food.
for other meds, food can actually break down or inactivate the medicine.
for still other meds, the med is harsh on ur stomach, so the food acts like a buffer.
also still some other meds, it's better because of what they're used for...(like certain diabetes medicine is better before meals...they need to be in ur system to help ur body start producing insulin just before u eat...so that ur blood sugar is lowered at the right time).
