Morality is knowing the difference between right and wrong. God "invented" it.

Morality is not what people think it is. Just defining onself as a christian is not moral. How about I tell you what the opposite of moral is and then that will help. I will give you a name of at person. "The Decider" is not a moral person. By defining onself as a christian and entering a building on a certain day of a week that does not define morality. By opening a book called a bible and skipping the killing part in the ten comandments that is not morality. Think the opposite of the person I mentioned and you might get the looks of a moral persons traits.

God give the Israelites a code of conduct that raised their standards and quality of life, well above their surrounding enemies.

I'm not sure if the word 'invented' fits, but God sets the standards for morality.

In the beginning, Adam and Eve had no understanding of right and wrong, except for a single rule: Do not eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. If they didn't eat, they knew that was 'right', if they did, they knew that'd be 'wrong'. The way they were was 'good' (although they did not realize it). When Satan tempted Eve, she even lied ("Do not eat *or touch* it..."), yet, because God had not proclaimed a law against lying, it was not considered 'wrong'. When they actually ate the fruit, they realized they had done 'wrong', and it was 'evil', and what they once had was 'good'.

When Cain began hating his brother, Abel, God had not proclaimed a law against hate, yet warned him against following his course of action because of his hate... so to speak, He knew that murder was in Cain's mind, and spoke a law against it ("...If you do well, won't you be accepted? But if you don't do well, sin lies at the doorstep..."). When Cain murdered Abel, he suffered the consequences of exile.

Ever since those times, the law has been inscribed upon our minds, as our conscience. Morality comes from God, and by following the rules of law, be it the laws written upon our consciences ('con' = with, 'science' = knowledge. Having a conscience means you are 'with knowledge' of right and wrong) and following the laws of the land.

It is possible to essentially shut away the conscience, and this has happened among many in this generation... those who choose to not follow their conscience, its 'voice' warning the person of right and wrong, is silenced and deadened. The more it is silenced, the less likely it will 'speak up' the next time wrongs are commited... until eventually it will stop responding at all, and would seem to have never existed at all...

Morality is the act of listening to the conscience, and responding in a 'good' (as in, lawful, protecting the innocent, preserving life, creative, non-offensive, charitable, and other noble and chivalrous acts) manner.

Whether some people take the inspiration of religion some from society. Morality is about choices and free will.

Maybe God invented it. Maybe Man... Who knows.

Morality does exist. But it is your choice if you are willing to except it.

Morality exists only in the mind of the person speaking about it. What is moral to one may seem immoral to someone else.

Compassion is real, morality is a judgment.

It is doing the right thing. No one invented it. We are made in God's image, and this is ingrained in all of us. It is commonly referred to as a conscience. Some people just ignore what is right, and choose to do wrong.

Morality is almost exclusively religious in birth.
PERSONAL morality are beliefs that an individual finds good/evil. "Morality" as a body are beliefs that many agree to and enunciate together.
