Bit of an odd one. My gf went home and i called her after work and she was going to sleep, so I went to my friends. On the way i thought i would drop by and see her on the off chance she was awake..no light was on so i didnt stop but her dad saw me outside n told her, as she'd just woken up. she then called me n didnt really say anything..n i said i was going to my friends n explained why i went round on the off chance...n she didnt rly say anything. after some bumbling chat.. she said she might speak to me later.. so i went to my friends, left my fone in my car n she had txt me goodnite, i hadnt seen this obv as it was in my car so i didnt txt bk as i didnt want to wake her. later on she txt me "so i dont get a gd night then" and then it all kicked off..saying she only wanted to make sure i was ok..which is fine..but now she feels i dont care about her and all sorts. tried to explain my point of view but she doesnt want to know. Any ideas? Sorry..bit of a long one!

basically i have this argument with my b/f on a daily basis!! us girls need to feel as if you care about us and our well being 24hrs a day! i know you obviously do care for her in this way however males tend to be a little more secretive about this kind of thing and tend not to think ahead ie maybe you should have sent her a nice message after she called (she was obviously annoyed because she wasn't saying much on the phone so a nice message wouldn't have gone a miss). This would have made her feel secure and wanted cos she thought that u didn't want to see her that nite and u'd rather b at ur friends (prob not the case but work with me on the female mind thing!) so when u next talk to her say i'm really sorry i should have txt u back i'm such an idiot i left my phone in the car! i know you probably felt like i didn't care but i really really do i was wondering why you hadn't txt me as well!! This will seem as if u were missing her whilst you were away from her!! Hope this helps just waffle on in this vain until she gives in!

You are not satisfying the girl, period. The txt is just an outlet of the frustration. Talk to her, watch her body language, coz really a goodnite txt is nothing to be frumpy about. leaving your mobile in the car? Thats the oldest excuse used by all playaz, this does not mean u are but pliz? Could u not try something a bit original like I was too busy with my mates? Mean but true.

Man if the girl gets pissed off with you over something like that, I'm sorry for you bro. She sounds high maintenance. My phone went flat over the weekend and I left my charger at work. My g/f txt me during the time but as soon as I said what had happened, she was fine with it. And that was like 3 days.

Just try to, and get her to, put it in perspective. It was 1 txt on 1 night. You did all you could in my book, and it's obvious by the amount of effort you put in that you care a lot about her. So just try to down play it. Tell her your sorry, and try to move on. These things usually blow over in a couple of days. Give her time and she'll realise that it wasn't such a big thing.

Good luck.

Whoops!!
Some women seem to think that the mobile phone was only invented for us to check up on our boyfriends/husbands!
To me, thats what it sounds like she has done...texted you, checking up on you but cos u left ur phone in the car-shes gone in2a paddy cos she doesnt believe that you were where u were meant to be, and now she cant find ouot because it will make her look like a paranoid **** to everyone if she asks about!!
Looks like u have lots of creeping to do if you want her to forgive you...believe me, us women sure drag crap like this out for as long as possible!
Good luck!!x

Well just a hint of advice.... always make sure you have you phone with you before you get out of your car. If she really wanted to make sure you were okay then she would have taken a little bit of time to talk to you when you spoke with her, anyway how is texting goodnight going to determine whether or not you're okay??? Tell her to grow up.

Ok, sounds like she may have had a bad day and this misunderstanding has made it worse for her. Try explaining everything, as I imagine you probably already have, then do something that really pampers her. Actions speak louder than words.

All sounds a bit silly to me, just one of those silly tiffs that couples have, perhaps she was just tired etc.....

Texting is a bad way of communicating, talking face to face is better. People leave their mobile phones lying around and if they receive a text, they don't know because its not near them. Don't stress, chill out and give her a big hug when you see her x

Sounds like a big misunderstanding. Let the dust settle and give her a call, explain to her what you just did to us and Im sure she'll cool down.

Well, we women want all of men's attention. If a man forgets us, we get really really ungry. So, just apologise a thousand times and be sweet with the for a couple of days.

Sorry mate, this all sounds petty to me. If your argueing over this stuff what are you going to be like in serious arguments?

Just talk to her and explain yourself. If she's still moody with you maybe its time to move on, who wants a moody girlfriend who has a bag on with you everytime you forget to text goodnight?
