I certainly do. I am not sure if govt. is hiding but it is very evident that mosquitoes are active carriers of lots of diseases including the recent outbreak of chickungunya, dengue fever, not to mention the quintessential malaria.

I just saw an article highlighting the 10 deadliest creatures on the planet. Was it the great white shark?... No. Was it a venomous snake?.... No... You got it... Mosquitoes are responsible for more deaths (due to disease transmission) than any other creature. (Other than humans, of course).

i believe mosquitos do carry more diseases than we realize because they suck blood from people and people have diseases. so i am one who is very careful about mosquitos. i use insect repellant if i'm going to be outside where mosquitos may be present.
