My bofriend is going back to the States we were together for almost four years now and live like a real couple. The thing is he told me that there's no certainty about us when he goes back and cannot promise me about the future. Should I just leave him prior to his flight back to the US or just wait and see? Help me to see the light of the day please? Thanks.

Ouch, that hurts. Four years is a long time to invest with someone who can't promise you a future. I would leave him. Just explain to him that you're not going to sit around and see if there's a future for you guys. He may get to the U.S. and decide that he can't live without you. If that's the case, then he'll call you and you can decide at that time if you want to give him a second chance. But, I think if he really loved you, there would be no doubt in his mind that he wants you in his future. I am sorry, you must be heart broken right now. Four years is a long time to be with someone and then have them tell you this. Good luck and I hope you find someone that will appreciate you more.

You've been together 4 years and he can't be certain about your relationship???
Has he been in the military?
He may have affection for you, but I'm questioning whether he really loves you.
Are you of a different nationality? He's probably fearful of what his family & friends will think.
He may get home & find he really does love & miss you; and that his family's opinion isn't all that important, or they may accept you.
Then again, once he's home you may be just a fond memory.
Tough call, but it's your's.

Have dignity and don't even contact him. If he told you that he is "unsure" about you both that means that he has someone else.
If you beg, he probaly would justplay with you for a little while and then tell you the same crap about being "unsure". Trust me.
Save your self some hearache and dunop him first. Have the upper hand and the bragging rights for that,

He is giving you the soft brush-off. If he really cared, then the certainty would be there.
He is basically saying "Hey, I am going back to the US and see if I can't find something better"

He obviously doesn't want a future with you or he would have told you that. You need to break it off before he leaves and move on with your life. There are plenty of other guys out there for you.

you both should talk about your future and how things could or could not evolve. If you both cannot agree that someone will have to move to a new country, then... end it.

Dump him before he dumps you.Cause if he can't make any promises for you're future with hiim. then you don't need him.
