Thevenin and Norton are just two different equivalent ways to represent the same physical circuit. Thevenin takes a voltage source and resistive (could be reactive) network and replaces it with a voltage source and a single series resistance.

Norton uses a currect source with a shunt resistor. There is no such thing as a "Thevenin or Norton" physical circuit. They are simply two ways of representing the same physical circuit for analysis.
