Better? I don't know. I do know it would be different. I do think that at some point in maybe a millennia or so that religion though not entirely fading away will have far less importance in society. That is not taking a pot shot at it but that is merely normal societal change which has already happened. Look at the how different the world was in the time of Caesar to now. Change is a normal and natural element and the differences it brings can be both positive and negative. That is my take on the concept of religion.. it is not either positive nor is it negative; it is just there for people who wish to avail themselves of it.

I seriously doubt it. You hear this arguement all the time, but by far the most common reason for these disputes is economics/oppresion, and that would not change. In fact, even so called holy wars seem to have included pilaging, so, you could claim there where no "religion only wars" and have a valid defense...

No. Religion is just another element in it all. If there were NO religion people would still find reasons to be as they are!
Religion, however, is the voice or reason and it is amazing how many people HERE at Answers oppose both sides in the current wars and want peace.

There must be a religion for all to relate to, to unite all together, and that's provided everyone observe and practised the values taught. Maybe a simple religion with 5 rules like:
1. Free your heart from hatred
2. Free your mind from worries
3. Live simply
4. Give more
5. Expect less

The beauty about Christianity is...it's not so much a religion as it is a relationship with The Creator. Christianity is the only religion where God reaches down to us, instead of us trying to get to God.

the problems is not in any religion , as the problem is in the peoples , as any religion came to teach peoples haw to behave & to declare what is wrong & what is right & what is yr rights & what is yr obligation , i.e. religion came when god see us behave bad . so may be without religion the world might become more & more wild animal like

Jesus isnt a religion and im the Jewish person that came to Jesus-do u have a 360 we can talk if u do thanks alot-david read the book of John in the bible it will help you alot
religions tend to bicker with each other -yet the one that takes Jesus and follows him-follow what he says-to love others as you love yourself- catholic charismatic, baptist, messianic Jewish all believe strong in Jesus and the bible and dont fight others

No it would not. Religion is not the reason for this. It is because people are intolerant of each others religion.

No, if there was no religion then there would be no hope.. Of course it would be nice if everyone believed the same truth,, and there was no religious differences.. However God as you prbly don't believe, inspired the working of Christianity..It was his will, to show man, the truth..
