Not at all! I took in the whole day...and I'm grateful for the wedding video which captured all of it so we will always be able to go back and see it again and again. It was fun and exactly what we hoped for.

Yes, I felt like I was being pulled in a million directions. I am a drinker and I didn't even get to drink much at my own wedding. My husband, however, found time to get drunk...lol. I'm glad I had a video to watch, because I missed some stuff at the reception. And during the ceremony I was so nervous, I didn't remember much of it, so it was nice to get to see it on video. My wedding was only 2 months ago and I wish I could relive the day and have a chance to enjoy everything a little more and not worry about socializing with all of the guests.

Nope... had a small wedding, just myself, the bride a best man and maid of honor. No reception, just straight to the honeymoon.
Personally, I think grand weddings are a waste of money. I know that "fairy tale" weddings are pretty much drummed into women's heads from birth, but really, don't you think all that money would be better spent helping the couple get their lives started out? Maybe if the money was used to help furnish their home, or even help purchase a home, we wouldn't have as much problems with personal debt in this country (both the bride & groom and their parents).
Looking back, I probably would have liked to have had a small reception to celebrate the events with friends and family, but that could easily be done at a family or friend's house without costing an arm and a leg.

Unfortunately you end up being so busy with the little things, like making sure you've talked to all the relatives, worrying about whether it's time to cut the cake yet etc that you tend to miss the fun. It's your party and want to make sure that everything is going to plan. Despite all the effort that went into choosing the food and the music, I don't even remember what the food was like or what music I danced to. I had a great time but probably spent too much time worrying instead of just soaking it all up and enjoying it.

I don't hardly remember any of my wedding. I was so scared. I tell brides everyday to not be afraid but I was terrified. It was my 2nd wedding and my heart was beating so hard my dress bodice was moving lol. I wore very high heels, bad idea. I could barely balance due to my legs shaking so badly. When I got to the alter the pastor was saying what I was suppose to repeat but during his speaking I was too busy thinking "I have to remember this, I have to remember this". I had no idea what he said. I tried to put the ring on my husbands right hand and when we were to walk back down the isle he grabbed my arm because apparently I was running. It is just bits and pieces I remember due to the fear. It is so funny we work so hard to make it perfect and unless we have a video we have no idea what happend. (just don't let your brother in law tape over the video like mine did while we were in Mexico!)

We had a small wedding and I was actually able to take most of it all in. I remember it like it was just yesterday, even though it wasn't that long ago I still feel like I didn't miss anything, plus video helped too.

Yeah, I did miss mine. I was too busy worrying about anything going wrong and trying to ensure everyone was having a great time that I forgot about myself. Good reason to have a lavish wedding anniversary!
