I had a great cat who used to do that; he would walk along with me to the corner bar and wait outside for me to come out to go home. I think when she talks to you along the way she is telling you "hey! I love you, where ya goin'?" They are great animals and a lot of people don't give them the credit they deserve.

Hi there...some cats love to follow their adoptive parent and it's quite common. The more trusting your kitty is the more likely she will follow you further. However, some cats will follow only so far then return to their familiar territory when they feel it's becoming uncomfortably dangerous. You can train kitties however to become desensitize when they begin to feel unsure at that certain point by bringing along some of their favourite food treats and offering it to them when you stop. Then walk a couple steps further and offer more treats and repeat.

Kitties mew for a bunch of reasons...to say I'm hungry...help, I want attention, hello, I'm scared ,etc. If you listen carefully over time you will learn what each of her mews mean as each cat responds differently to their family members.

One of my cats will follow me if I go across the street or down the block. I think she just wants to see what I am up to. If I walk more than a block or so she will turn around and go back home.
(She doesn't want to leave the cul-de-sac)

As for the mew she wants something. My cats mew to tell me to fill up the food dish (even if there is already food in it) or if they want to go out, or if they want to be picked up and cuddled. After awhile you'll just know what her mew is all about.

Had a cat that did same thing, she would go on a walk with me. Who cares if it's normal for a cat. Cat's have their own individual personalities. And they are wonderful by the way.

AWWW the cat loves you man...love it back...how can you say no to a face like that...unless you hate animals aka jennifer lopez and beyonce and kill them and other innocent animals for fur coats you will only wear once....sorry had a moment...but yeah it likes you...i wish my cat followed me around like that..he does but only like once in a blue moon and usually thats when hes really hungry...hes kinda fat...but soooo adorable...and cats talk to us all the time just not in the same language we speak...they send us pictures of what they want or what they are trying to tell us..all animals do it just some of us dont recieve them or are not in touch with them. we think they dont listen or understand but they do and she very well could be trying to talk to you...listen to her...she feels safe and comfortable with you otherwise she wouldnt come around..a nd if you cant keep her try to find a really good home for her..i know you cant be too sure if someone is going to be good to an animal but go with what your heart tells you and your first instincts...hope i could help

at our previous house, we were surrounded by woods and had several mountains too, we used to take all our dogs and hike the woods, one day we decided to climb the mountain and picnic on top, so off we go, my husband and I, my son and his friend and all four of our dogs about 1/3 of the way up we stopped to take a breather and looked down the path to see that 2 of our cats had followed us, they caught up with us and then we all climbed to the very top and had lunch. They were good cats!

Obviously she absolutely adores you, my brother has a cat and it even climbs in the car with him and on his bicycle as well, it just goes to show that the cat wants to be with you as much as possible, she most probably trying to tell you "hey mom it's time to go home" lol
