some guys just never get any women, because they are desperate- it does tend to put women off. You see it everytime at the nightclubs. Girls dancing and guys stood at the side playing pocket billiards. A guy should be clean, not have spinach between his teeth, have something to say that is worth saying and not be too pushy when it comes to the physical side of things- which can also be a put off. Just be yourself!! - An obvious answer but a good one.
If you are funny, then make her laugh, all girls love a good sense of humour.
Make sure you are clean and well presented, but don't spend too long on getting dressed, you don't want to look like you're trying to hard.
And whatever you do, don't act like a complete idiot in front of your mates when you are really nice alone with the girl. (She will just be confused and wonder if you really are being yourself when alone with her)

Be a gentleman, treat her well. It sounds old fashioned but open doors for her, when she sits down bring her chair out for her...compliment her in some way so she feels cherished by you. Make sure you look smart and engage in conversation with her and listen to her answers, being attentive is a huge turn on.

just be yourself my friend. if a girl likes you then you will be in. but if you try to be something your not then you will have to carry on with that facade for ages and thats not fair on you or her.
