ive done a few photo shoots for some local bands and made about 20 dollars a shoot but i get the feeling like im being ripped off. am i right. i use a nikon n75 for film and a nikon p3 8mp for digital pictures. any ideas. i usually shoot around 50 pictures.

Determine the cost to you in time per hour (gas, film,supplies), then add what you'd like to make on top of that to get a base fee. Then charge per photo (for how many they want, not how many you took). That way, if they change their minds, at least you didn't waste your time and goods.
I've done photos for about 8-9 bands, but I just do it for hobby; it's my way of supporting the local music scene...

The price per picture might be OK, but how about the fee to go to the place and do the work?
You should have between $50 & $75 just to go and shoot, plus travel expenses.

I agree with Crispy ED. Dont sell yourself short, what do u think u r worth an hour? how good is your work? are u working on the barter system? I hope u r only givin up a few images and using the rest for yourself. wish u could post a few images.

I think for those pictures and that quality I would gladly pay around 100 dollars for my band to be photographed.
Money isn't everything, so if you are happy with what you are doing and how much you are getting for it then you shouldn't worry.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.
it can upload/download your camera to your PC.
It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video clips.
you can make your ablum with picasa very easy.
It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
