no its not. its a change in the way you live, act and do daily things. by repenting, you are saying that you will not do that action again or partake in any other action that is wrong...well thats my opinion

Yes and no. First repentance is emotionally based where there should be a feeling of some guilt and true repentance is where you would not do it again. People always try to justify their actions and never come to a point of repentance which is a shame. Just don't go on a guilt and shame trip that is usually the onry devil working against you. Jesus forgets and washes away your sins. It is usually the devil who keeps reminding you of your past.

The definition of repentance is to "change your mind".
Emotions may or may not play a part in this changing of the mind.

it should not be. why? you will just keep on sinning if your repentance is on emotional basis. It should be 180 degrees turn no turning back. It should be based on your firm decision for a complete change.

Contrition for sin followed by temporal punishment either in the form of penance or if after death, Purgatory.
Emotion comes into play but it, in and of itself, is not merely an emotion.

Do your own homework and repent for asking others to do it for you.
Then, you'll know for yourself.
