Because some women are so shallow and they see marriage as a pretty dress, presents, etc. They don't think of it as love and a life commitment.

Women are competitive about getting married because women are more concerned about their biological clock than men. Mostly, they want to start to have children when they can still safely do so, and they also want a good fellow -- and they have more of a choice of men when they are young than when they are older.

Because they all want their wedding to be the best and most memorable one anyone has ever been to, when in reality no one ever remembers most of what people had or did at weddings, it's called the "princess syndrome", where they all feel it is their chance to be "princess" (ick) for the day. Like Christmas, weddings are no longer about actually getting married and making the commitment to each other, rather they are just another means to show off (and get in to severe debt!)

supposedly the ones who aren tmarried yet arent special, thats just a society cliche but you know, unlss you havent sseen mona lisa smiles you wouldnt really know

women are competitive by nature but when it comes to marriage... it's who has the best wedding, best husband, etc... so if you have the best wedding/marriage... you have it all...

They always pictured their day in their heads growing up...they want to be the cinderella for the day...it is their day (and yours) to shine..most men don't care....lol....
They want it all!
*But not realizing that money doesn't buy them happiness....
