Ooh, this is a good question. I thnk that fetishes are more individual. People have their own different fetishes. My ex-boyfriend's grilfriend, for example, has a foot fetish, while my best friend has some kind of ear fetish. Because different people have different fetishes, it makes it harder for society to single them out when necessary. Fetishes, like homosexuality, are only the concern of a person and their love interest, in my beliefs, but to society, they need to be known. Also, homosexuality seems to have a "reason," like all attractions, but fetishes are so different that they don't.

That depends on the fetish and how you show it.
If you really love rubber chicken and show it by having one peeping out your pants the whole day, society will react strange. And if you are into sex with children you will soon find new friends in jail. And that is good.
But if your fetish is something more personal and not practiced in public you just need to find someone who love the same thing.
But that's the tricky part. With a fetish you need to find another fetishist. And "normal" people might react ... uh... not very positive when confronted with your fetish. But that goes also for gay people trying to start an affair with straight people. They don't usually get along.
You are part of a minority so you have to see that the majority is different and doesn't want to be like you. Live with it and stop complaining.
