goosenecks national park. arrived in the evening to catch the setting sun. then camped out in sleeping bags under the immense starry sky, right by the edge of the ridge.

then woke up damp with the morning dew to catch the rising sun and had breakfast sitting on the cliff and looking at the amzing view and feeling so small.

It was around 3am local time at 75.000 feet in the transatlantic flight from New York to Athens.

As the airplane was heading east over the Atlantic, the fist rays of light just appeared just on the horizon. A purple-blue-pink-red-orange-yellow rainbow of color sprayed the aircraft's surfaces for just a few milliseconds as if it was something out of the ordinary.

An Indescribable feeling of loneliness and happiness together as if the sun said good morning to the hole world.

Yes I agree Angkor Wat is amazing but my favourite place is Shang Du in Inner Mongolia. In the West you know it as Xanadu.
There is nothing left there now only grass & flowery meadows & a small river flowing by and small birds struggling to fly against the wnd . The silence and stillness of such a once great city is overwhelming.

The most amazing place I have ever been to is in Norway. We went to see the midnight sun. It was freezing but it was really amazing it was really foggy you couldn't see a hand in front of you but about 5 minute before midnight the fog lifted and it was so beautiful and you could see for miles. I was also 2000km from the North pole or about 1250 miles

The killing fields near Siam Reap next to Ang Khor Wat.

After the haunting beauty and the amazing achievements of the Cambodian people in Ang Khor Tom City (and Kbal Spean), to see the mound of bones was quite something.

It illustrates the highs and the lows the human race can go to.

The most beautiful, relaxing and fun place I have been (with the best scenery) was Applecross, north west coast of Scotland.

Its only about 400 miles from where I live, I can get there by car in 6 hours but it is simply stunning!

I loved relaxing in a hammock on Koh Tao as the sun set with a beer.
Also climbing Fox glacier in New Zealand. A real sense of achievement and fantastic sights.

Venezuela in South America, especially Caniama National Park with its rainforest, winding rivers, massive tepui (mile hile vertical mountains with flat tops), and Salto Angel (the highest waterfall in the World). All that and it's free from mass tourism, we had to fly out in a small six seater Cessna and spent four days in a canoe to get to the waterfall.
