i answered a question not too long ago about 'who pays'. alot of the answers stated that the guy always pays. in my country both parties pay for different things. just the way it is. lots of friends of mine say that if a guy pays all the time, they are being taken for a ride.

Muahaha society's double standards strike again. Yes, it's confusing as all hell, this whole "equal but not when being unequal benefits her" scam, but that's the way society developed in a most dynamic, if unpleasant, process, and we have to deal with it. Makes for a bit of excitement sometimes, but usually is just frustrating, since I cannot read minds and do not know if they are feeling feministic or feminine.

My mother says that men should always pay for the meals because they have less to offer to women, but I disagree. Men usually pay for the meals because that is how society has formed it. It also gives them a sense of superiority. However, with all the feminist ideas that women have lately, one would think that thwy would start paying too, but one would be wrong about three quarters of the time. If something works in favor of the women on the dates, why pay just to make yourself feel equal? I think the more confusing question is, On homosexual dates, who pays?

The woman might just want to feel like she is being taken care of. Each relationship has to be evaluated on an individual basis.

I have noticed that the longer I have been dating my boyfriend, the less I have been paying. This reaffirms my belief that the more a guy cares about you, the more he wants to take care of you.

I guess the gentleman thing to do is he pays for when you go on dates and i guess if he likes to buy you things, but I'm one of those females who doesn't mind splitting the bill. But yes there are women out there who do like to take some men for a ride and use them for their money but it could be vice versa also........

actually they should also pay.In a normal cicumstance where the man and the woman are there to help each other outit should be so.Say the man is broke one day, does that mean they wont go out that day even if they did wish to while the woman has a couple bucks in her purse? If so the woman then has some issues.

I pay for my own stuff, it's called going Dutch, and it shows how independent you are instead of just ripping males off for a good time.
