I had started down the Christian path years ago, with help from some friends. But what made me stop and find the true path God wanted me on - was reading Torah, the first five books of the Bible.

Torah became my foundation of all understanding of scripture, and God opened the right path for me to walk on. The path of Torah and living right before Him. Now I'm not saying Judaism, I'm spekaing of pure Torah and living according to what God says through His prophet Moses.

Torah, being my foundation, showed me what Christianity and Church wasn't and I didn't want any part of it anymore. Torah teaches only one God, the Church teaches a trinty of gods. Torah teaches to obey God's commandments, the Church abolishes God's Torah for some church-based grace. I had found that when Torah is the foundation of understanding, then it becomes easy to see what is truth and what are lies that people tell. Adn since much of Church teachings are against what is in Torah, I go with what is true.

Because I read the bible more than once & studied the issue.

The bible is a book of mythology and God does not exist.

What more reasons would anyone need?

BTW, I was a practicing Christians, mostly Baptist, for over 30 years.

Just a lot of it started to make no sense as I got older. And some of the people claiming to be Christians getting away with so much wrong just made me sick.

Because I have learned the difference between faith and wisdom. The difference between fact and faith. The difference between history and their story. The difference between the real world and the world of superstition and fear. That, and, I was not accepted as a gay man. They tried to "fix" me and when that didn't work they rejected me.Even my own mother has abandoned me.And people wonder why I hate religion.
