I'm in love with a man in Australia, but I live near San Francisco ..... He told me he loved me before I even mentioned it, and he has mentioned several times that he would love for me to move in with him once it is possible .... I've known him for a while now, and I honestly have nothing keeping me here in America but money. What should I do? Please help me, I need to make this relationship work. He is the sweetest guy I have ever met, and he loves me for who I am ... Also, I have to take medications and I don't know how I'd get them over there.

I live with my parents, and he is a student. Once I get enough money to go over, it wont be a problem as I don't have any attachments here, including my parents.

Ok I think the most important thing is tell him what your condition is and what medications you are taking and have him ask a doctor in Australia specialized in your condition and see if your medication or similar ones are available over there. The rest is easy, I am sure you can get a job overthere and live close to him. Money comes and goes but a good guy is hard to find.

Well, you could mention to him about moving over to Australia with or see if he wants to move in California with you or maybe you both could meet half way and buy a house together if you think you know eatchothter enough. But will you have family missing you here? Think about everything over and over again.

Meds: You can get a new doctor over there in Aus. and have them prescribe it to you after you move or ask your doctor about you moving to Aus. and see what he recomends.

Have you two already met? Maybe you could take a trip to his house and spend the night for a week more or less. or him come to your house for a week or less. See what it's like to sleep at his house or vis versa.

Discuss which place is easier for you two to live in. Both countries are pretty similar in lifestlye and language, so I think any of you can get a job and green card relatively easily.
As for the medicine, I'm sure you can ask a friend or family member to post it frequently.

Good luck :)

Follow your heart. Life is about taking chances. As for meds, they have the same there as they do here. Just talk with your doc first though. But make sure you have future plan B , just in case plan A changes. I hope you guys work out. good luck

Myrriah: If he truly loves you, ask him to come and stay with you in the US. And depending on how things work out, you can make the decisions on moving. It seems you do have a bit of complications in terms of personal health, and financial security and he should understand that.

let him do the thinking. let him find out if the kind of medicine u take is there in australia and let him send u the air ticket (return), that way, u will know how serious he is. with men, u can never be too sure...make sure its a return ticket just in case things arent as u xpected so u dont get stranded.
