The Patriot Missile Defense System is good for foreign relation and propaganda purposes and peace of mind, but they don't work. Why do you think we give so many of them away?

The m.s.d is not intended for use against small/artillary its intended use is for large missiles like scud what Iraq used in the first gulf war or much larger inter continental ballistic missiles which is the m.s.d primary role in the defence of the u.s of a. I doubt very much wether the system would actually pick up on the small rockets that the islamic fascists fired into Israel. ps what are you a dr of

Was Israel in possession of our missile defense system? A compilation of SAM's and Gatling's? I wasn't aware.
Anyways, that type of defense doesn't work well against a barrage of rockets. Many will get through, in any event.

The smaller missiles go under theradar of the AA guns. The larger missiles that were launched were all shot down by the Patriot missiles.

The statistics show the fact that it did not work. But any defense system can be saturated. But one has to ask: Was it there for this purpose?

there is no defence against short range projectiles just like there is no defence against molotov cocktails... thos katyushas where a perfect way of irretating Israel but they are not war mongoring weapons.
