My cousin is going to North Carolina for college. My Aunt doesn't want to be away from her, so she wants to move her family to North Carolina. My other cousin doesn't want anything to do with North Carolina, and actually wants to go to California for college when she's old enough. I feel so bad for her. Is there anything that I can do?

This sounds like a good time to discuss and celebrate the importance of family and how, as we get older we tend to appreciate the closeness we have with parents, siblings, cousins and other relatives even more. You can also check out some library books about North Carolina (Insight Guides are the best!) which is one of the nicest areas in the country to live in. Write to the Bureau of Tourism and relocation departments or go to websites and request information in HER name. She'll enjoy receiving this information in the mail addressed specifically to her. Remind her of some great North Carolinains, like Michael Jordan. As a kid, that may help her mindset as well. These things will cheer her up without a doubt. Wow, you're really a good cousin!

Honestly No! If your not at an age in your life where you can take care of your cousin and your self then there"s really nothing you can do. Maybe you could talk to your aunt, and express how your cousin feel's but I don't see it working for you. Your cousin needs to speak up for his/or herself.

Actually no. Why is yr aunt being so protective anyway, it not like your cousin is going there and never coming back.

Just let her know that she can always call you and email you and that she just might like it there. Sometimes we don't want to do something and it ends up being the best thing for us. Support her and let her know that it just might be a good thing. She can always visit too, let her know that, because she's probably going to miss you and her other family memers. Just remember to keep in contact with each other

Sure tell your aunt to let go, she's going to lose her daughter no matter what she does.
