This christian lady asked a question with ALL CAPS, and I asked why she was screaming. She emailed me calling me a "Thirsty Trick" and then said "God Bless You". Now I've heard alot of slang, but I've never heard this. Is this some sort of biblical referance or what?

A Christian is somebody who believes that Jesus replaced into the residing incarnation of the single God, who's printed contained in the Hebrew scripture. it somewhat is all summed up contained in the Apostles' Creed. different than that Christians could have faith in almost something. That toddlers would desire to be baptized, or that for the time of hassle-free terms adults would desire to be baptized. That there are seven sacraments, or in hassle-free terms 2. That the Bible's introduction tale is the literal certainty, or an allegory.which you would be saved by utilising solid works, or in hassle-free terms by utilising faith. That Joseph Smith replaced right into a real prophet, or that he replaced right into a fraud. regrettably, there have consistently been a considerable sort of Christians who have faith, in step with their particular interpretation of this enormous and perplexing e book, in persecuting or oppressing women folk, gays, blacks, Jews, so-referred to as witches, and, principally, Christians who've a diverse interpretation of a similar e book.

Who knows what the lady meant really, but IF she was implying the harlot meaning, here is the response I would have given her and pray that the Holy Spirit gives her in conviction:

"Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. 3The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst 4they said to him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?" 6This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her." 8And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10Jesus stood up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" 11She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more."" - John 8:2-11 (ESV)

Notice a few things

a. To commit adultery and to condemn someone for it, BOTH PARTIES WERE TO BE BROUGHT TO BE JUDGED. It takes TWO to commit adultery. The pharisees failed to bring the man because they didn't want justice, they just wanted to test Jesus.

b. Jesus knew this, and so he called them. "Let he who HAS NOT SINNED". Not only is it in general true that EVERYONE sins (Romans 3:23) but also the pharisees in particular here had tried to use the Law to their own advantage and had purposely neglected to obey the law FULLY (i.e. bring both people who adultered). The Pharisees were very proud of knowing the Law in detail, so surely they knew of this requirement, but still disobeyed.

c. the term "woman" was a sign of DEEP RESPECT in that culture, and not one of disrespect as it is in ours.

d. MOST IMPORTANTLY, notice that Jesus says to the woman "neither do I condemn you." He wants to forgive you. He will forgive you if you repent and believe and He loves us despite the sin we have committed in the past and even the sin we will commit in the future, as long as we repent and truly come to Him in earnest for forgiveness and seek Him.

God bless.

thirsty meaning thirsty for righteousness. in the bible it is said your are supposed to thirst after righteousness. trick meaning harlot or s*l*u*t. can't believe a good christian would say you were an unrighteous s-l-u-t. that is not acceptable to god. the way you judge people is the way god will judge you. she should not have said that!
