Anything go wrong on your big day or is there something you wish you had done differently (dress, flowers, cake, attendants, location, etc.)??

Don't worry about the little things such as party favors and personalized napkins. Save your money for the more important things like the photographer and video (we have our wedding on DVD). Of course I wouldn't know until I had a wedding but I wish now that I had used that money to buy a house instead. I'm sure that if we bought a house and had eloped or something we would be wondering what it was like to have a normal wedding.

My glasses broke the morning of my wedding. I had gotten up from bed, went out to the kitchen, and when I picked up my glasses to put them on, they split right at the nose piece. I was in a small city, and no optometrists were open on a Saturday. We tried many different glues, etc. but none worked. Some Goop at least kept them together so I could drive. I had no spare glasses, and I had worn contacts previously, but there was no way I could wear them after so long of having not. So I had to go through my wedding relatively blind. I see fine close up, even to medium range, but it was very frustrating not to see across a room clearly. Also, it's odd to not have glasses on in any of my wedding pics, since I've worn them a long time. At the reception, I was worried people would think I was snubbing them, because if they tried to catch my eye and ask me over to them, or something, I couldn't see them.... It was really uncomfortable, and at times I felt so lost... Everything about the wedding went beautifully, though. If I know it was going to be so very hot in church, which wasn't air conditioned at the time, I would have had fans brought in. In the video, you can see me daintily and surreptitiously trying to wipe the drips off my face!

I know it has already been said, but I would not have got married to either of my husbands. I wish I had never laid eyes on either of them, both huge mistakes and I wasted too many years on both of them. If I had the chance to get married again, I would keep it simple and classy and not waste money on silly "frills" such as favours (which everyone leaves behind anyway) and I would wear a better outfit, I felt a bit ridiculous in my big dress etc, I could not even go for a pee on my own!

I had a huge catholic wedding... 6 on each side... plus all the ushers, ect... ect.. ect...

15,000 later -I have pictures... WOW - SO NOT WORTH THE MONEY FOR THE DAY.

WE are celebrating 5 years this year, and we both wish we still had the 15 grand and would have eloped. Either way we would still be married, and we would have put a bigger payment donw on the house.

My hair. It never does good things even at the best of times and I cringe everytime I look at it in the photos.
