yes. If you can drink a pint of vodka in one sitting, you have built up some tolerance. That is enough to kill a person who does not have tolerance. It is entirely possible that you may be an alcoholic. Get help, and soon. Try AA.
Also, some people (like myself) can be misdiagnosed as bipolar, OCD, schizophrenic, borderline personality, psychotic, sociopathic, etc because the symptoms of acute alcoholism are VERY similar. Shrinks sometimes can't tell the difference, especially if they, themselves are undiagnosed alcoholics.
That doesn't mean everyone who drinks doesn't have a mental disorder. It means you need to find out if your disorders are caused by your chemical abuse, or your disorders are real and only contribute to your chemical abuse.

I am a physician so here s my take. A pint is too much. If you are sitting home drinking that s one type of problem. If out on the town that s quite another. There are 16 oz in a pint. 1.5 oz contains 14 gm of alcohol. The total is about 150 gm of alcohol. A normal male can drink 80 gm of alcohol nightly without serious consequence for years unless he has other problems (i.e. Hep C). Interesting that a six pack of beer has about 80 gm of alcohol. So, the beer people want to sell as much as possible to the customer without killing the customer. In your case, just cut down to start with. Buy a half pint and go from there. Go to AA if you want to quit. You don t have to see a doctor to do that. If you really want to quit DO go to a doctor and get a prescription for disulfiram. That will be your last day to drink. Lastly, if your health isn t a great concern, think of all the money you will save. 10$ per night for a pint (moderately good vodka) placed in your IRA will be worth 25K in 25 years. So you can keep your liver, save your marriage and then take a 6 month vacation. No to mention the 9000 hangovers you will avoid and the calories consumed will equal about 360 lb of fat you will either gain, work off or skip meal to avoid. Nuff said.

Great answers but as someone else asked, why are you drinking vodka every night? Do you have insomnia? Maybe asking your doc for some Ambien may help - not sure which is harder on the liver, but I'd guess the vodka. How about eating some fiber (like oatmeal or a fiber supplement) before you go to bed too and maybe that will help get rid of the diarrhea a little bit?

A pint shouldn't be a problem at all. I routinely drink 12 to 16 oz per evening with no ill effects.
Your problem seems to be much deeper. Self medication is never the answer. You need to see a primary care physician and request referral to a psychiatrist for specialized care including a proper diagnosis.

Calm down. It's not we can say according to the effects you had after or by. Can you control that or does it always like till you fall down? Actually when you started to be afraid of something mostly it means you are loosing control. So don't runaway to the opposite but limit your self. One day just one glass or none, the other normal. Just make some tricks. And about anti-depressant still prozac is best.
Good luck. Stand up and fight.

Symptoms
Social anxiety disorder causes unreasonable, debilitating fear of being judged or publicly humiliated. You may avoid or severely limit encounters with other people—which can keep you from daily activities. You may develop physical symptoms such as a rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, or tightness in your chest when faced with a feared social situation.
When you have social anxiety disorder, common social situations—such as eating in public, writing in front of other people, using a public restroom, or speaking in front of others—can cause overwhelming fear and anxiety.
You may be more afraid of people noticing your anxiety than of the actual feared situation. A vicious cycle can emerge of avoiding or worrying about the social event (such as speaking in public) because you are afraid others will see you as weak, anxious, or foolish—this, in turn, leads to more anxiety. This may lead to avoiding or limiting contact with other people.
Symptoms of social anxiety disorder may differ in adults and children. Adults and teenagers with social anxiety disorder usually recognize their fears of being publicly humiliated are unreasonable or excessive, while children who have this disorder may not.
Too much Voldka yes!
There are many great clinics that can help you. My son suffers from social anxiety as well. He does take Lexapro.

You have too many questions for a nonprofessional on Yahoo to answer. Talk to your family doctor about this and maybe get a recommendation for a therapist. Good luck.

Many will tell you that's too much.
But I say, you decide.
If not enough, carry on!!!!!!!
FDA will tell you 50ml a day.
But if you did not drink for the last 10 days, I suggest you go for 500ml tonight.
Cheers!
