This facility is provided in the windows xp speech engine. if you are using xp, go to control panel-Speech- and enable the language bar. Then plug in a good microphone, click the microphone button on the bar, and do what ever you want to do. You can even dictate speech to word then.

try the talking keyboard software you talk in to the microphone and tell your computer what to do it is really good you dont have to do any typing at all even when your on Q& A just say what you want to say and the pc will type for you then you say into the microphone send and it will send the reply you can even tell your computer to run a screen saver/ play a dvd / play music / & tell the computer to turn off is the talking software no need to use the keyboard again
