My msn messenger pal knows each time I come online, even when I am invisible. How is that possible ? I have msn messenger 7.5. I realize he could have a spy on yahoo, but not msn messenger. Am I correct ?

Yes, someone can spy on MSN messenger. They can see what you type and send messeges in your name.
My son ran into this. While he was chatting, someone was sending threatening messeges, in his name, to the person he was chatting with.
E-mail me in a couple days and I will try to find the link to the program to prevent this.

Yes, it is possible for others spy on your msn messenger activities with a secret monitornig software like Micro Keylogger or Aobo Keylogger for Mac.

Yep, not sure exactly how, because I am behind several firewalls, but chat hosts can see me.

Consistantly. And no doubt in my mind, some of these are hackers.

MSN chat is germy.

Once you add someone to your allow list in msn chat or msn messenger you have essentailly let that person in past your firewalls.

Not all that prudent.

He might know from seeing you on Yahoo and just add 2 and 2 to figure out that you are online.
