IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY HE MAKES, HE'S OVIOUSLY NOT HAPPY IN LIFE, ANOTHER REASON MAY SOUND HARSH BUT MISERY NEEDS COMPANY--YOU'RE ALLOWING IT. HAVE YOUR BOSS OR CO WORKER SCREEN YOUR CALLS.

Whether you make $35 per hour or $5 per hour if your stressed out ,which seems to be the case as he is drinking, your going to be aggrevated. Make it very clear to your cousin that phoning you at the job is not acceptable as it will only increase the chances of you losing your employ there. Stop accepting his calls and make your boss aware of the situation and steps that youhave taken thus far to resolve it. As for your cousin if he doesn't change his situation evidently he is getting something out of it such as attention. Tell him to stop feeling sorry for himself and find another job life is too short to not like what you do in life!!!!

If you and your cousin have always had a close relationship, he may be crying out for help with his drinking. If I were you I would ask him to please meet you after work, and than choose a quiet place for the 2 of you to talk. Hopefully both of you will find out what's going on inside his head and perhaps do something to help him. if he keeps calling you at work after that you might try and speak with whoever routes the calls at your work and ask them to please block his calls from reaching you before you get in trouble and lose your job. I wish you luck, Mary

you need to toughen up. He does this because he gets something from you, either the sympathy he craves, the attention . In a way, you are enabling him. if he has a drinking problem, you should
look into Al-Anon and get some info from them on how to deal with
an alcoholic in a way that will help and not encourage.

The short answer is because you let him. If you hung up on him whenever he rang, he would soon stop ringing.
