You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland.

Every day a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island.

Explain how the tractor got there?

The tractor drove across the lake when it was frozen in winter.

I would think that the tractor is not on the island, but instead gives rides around the lake, thereby giving rides around the (outside of the) island, and not rides on the island, proper.

Aliens teleported it onto the lake! It didn't travel by air, but through a 4th spatial dimensional link between our "normal" space! (A wormhole)

simple solution, the tractor is an undercover transformer decepticon, he flew there with his hyperthrusters on the bottom of his robot legs and he is investigating a ring of illegal child laboring acts, he is going to put a stop to this with his laser beam, he is just waiting for the right time, that's all, haha, and you thought it was something complicated, good thing i am here to clear things up, you're welcome!! bya!!
