There are lots of good people who don't believe in God, who don't go to church but do the best they can. Someone once said God's Heaven has many houses and I'm sure good people will find a place there. We don't really know what happens to people who have lived a "bad life." We don't know if there is a Heaven or Hell - we can only imagine and that is brought about by our own fears. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I believe some people who do not profess to be christian go to heaven Only if they have never known the salvation plan of God thru Christ Jesus (meaning a complete understanding of it) and their conscience is not weighed down with excess guilt. that is why I believe all children get a free pass to a "Better place" and those Adults who just didn't get a chance to get the Whole picture of what Christ Jesus did for the world get to go to a "Better place "" also but WOE to the those who did hear the Truth and chose to toss it aside. Call upon the Lord people!!!! while you still breath if you have'nt already.

I don't believe in god, therefore i do not believe in an after life. Would it be nice if there was one? Yes. But i just can't see how after your brain stops functioning that you keep living in any shape or form. Heaven would be pretty freakin crowded if that was so. Imagine a place where the entire population of the world in the past 2006 plus years existed at the same time. Holy Cow.

It depends on ones definition of heaven and in the same vein--hell. Yes, I believe in an afterlife based on my belief in a higher power. This higher power is not necessarily the strict definition of the Christian God but more of a spiritual connection with a God that has perhaps created many paths in the different religions to Him/Her. Even religions within the Christian sects have different criteria for "getting into" heaven. For me, it is a personal relationship between God and me and if that relationship is pure and right, then I will have the privilege of moving forward from this life into God's arms.

no
Ephesians 2:8,9 "for by grace are we saved through faith...NOT
BY WORKS
the Bible says that the only way to get to heaven is through God. this is by believing in Chridt and his word (the Bible). as humans we all deserve to go to hell because we sin and do bad stuff. whether or not we live a good life, we still do bad stuff once in a while. when Jesus died on the cross he paid for your sins. this means that instead of going to hell for all of the bad things that we do, we instead will go to heaven if we belive in Jesus. believing in Jesus is basically praying to him. you ask him to forgive you of all the sins tht you have committed (that doesn't mean to list every single one) and then you admit that you are a sinner and you do mess up and your sorry. then you ask him to come into yor life and be your God. being a christian means living a life knowing that when you die you'll go to heaven to be with God forver. that's a great freedom to know, but being a "good person" won't get you there, God doesn't care how good you think you are (because really when you think about it you're not that good) He just wants you to belive in his son.
it's really not as hard as people make it

If you're a good person and believe and God and ask for forgiveness when you've sinned then you go to heaven, otherwise you're stuck in hell... HAHAHAHAHAHA, I'm kidding, there's no God and there's no heaven. As nice as it would be to have a sweet-a$$ vacation spot to retire to after you, um expire, that would kinda defeat the whole sad death mourning thing. I mean wouldn't you just want to die? Sorry to say, but once you're dead, you're worm food.

I answered a similar question yesterday. Basically, when we die, we go back to our maker and receive a partial judgment baseed upon whether we were basically good or bad. The good people go to a place called paradise where they rest from mortality and continue to be taught what they didn't learn in mortality. The bad go to a place called prison where they basically have to repent of their bad acts and also learn what they failed to learn in mortality. Eventually they are all resurrected and are then judged according to their works and the desires of their hearts. God judges us on what we did with what we were given or what we knew. In other words, if you didn't know about God and Christ but were otherwise a good person, you would go to paradise and have a chance to learn about Christ and His sacrifice for us. Since you do know a little bit about Christ, but apparently not enough to make a knowing and willing choice to accept Him or reject Him, then there will be leniency shown and you will be judged on how well you did with what you did know and understand. If you know exactly what Christ was all about and knowingly reject His teachings and His atonement, then you would find yourself in prison and subject to God's punishment. I think that most of us will find more mercy than we can imagine.

First, how could there possibly be a better place than heaven? Second, if you do not believe in God, why would you think that God would allow you into his house, or anywhere else but hell? Jesus loves you.

If you don't believe in God then you don't go to heaven you go to hell. You don't want to go to hell. You will bein spiritual darkness and alone. You may have heard about there being a party in hell and being with all your friends, you won't. The party will be in heaven and if you want to be sure if you are going to heaven, just say a little prayer
Pray something like this:
I believe You died for my sins. I turn from my sins and I believe You are my Lord and Savior.
Amen

Most of the religions believe in or at least talked and mentioned heaven / better place, so I guess that tells us something, there has to be heaven after we die OR a better alternative place.
As for myself, yes I do believe in heaven and hell.
