I mean, the couple picked what they needed for the registry, so it's not like they're going to be surprised by what they're getting.

A definite yes.
If you are going to a bridal shower, that's part of the fun, opening the present. Also many "believe" in the tradition where the number of ribbons the bride breaks, tells how many children she'll have. Also they usually take the ribbons from the presents and turn them into "paper bouquets" that the bride and bridesmaids use at the rehearsal dinner - you wouldn't want to deprive them of that would ya?

If you are talking about taking a present to the wedding, it should definitely be wrapped. The couple has taken so much time and effort to make the weddding a beautiful setting. And if you just have a blender with the product showing, it will be very ugly on the table. (Many photographers also take pictures of the gift table) and yours would look very tacky. If you really don't want to wrap it, I would suggest (as someone else said) just have it shipped to their house- or give money or a gift card in their card.

(And just because they registered for it 5 months ago, doesn't mean they remember EVERYTHING, and I do think everyone loves opening presents =) )
Happy Shopping

A lot of places that have a registry have free gift wrapping. If not, go to a 99cent store or dollartree and look for cheap wrapping paper or even white butcher paper and just buy a nice bow. It doesn't have to be wrapped expensively to look good.

it's nice to wrap them anyways, i mean not everyone buys the newlyweds something from their registry, so it's still a little surprising when they open their gifts to find out what they got.

It still makes it more fun to have a wrapped present. Just because they pick the stuff out doesn't mean they know what everyone will get them.

I think it would make it seem more like a gift if it was wrapped. You could just put it in a gift bag.

Yes, wrapped or in a pretty bag, ( most dollar stores have beautiful bags for a buck) whether they know or not it is still a gift.

Hey. In my opinion, I think all gifts should be wrapped, just for the sense of fun. Besides, it would look nicer too.

Good point... I would just put it in a bag or ship it to their house so you don't have to carry it to the wedding. At the wedding you can give them a card with the receipt so they can return it later.
