As far as the feds are concerned, you might as well have spent those years in prison. If they catch you with a gun, they will most assuredly put you in one.

Nobody has the right answer on this one so I'll give it to you because I'm a great person. First of all, since you say that you have a felony but were never convicted I will assume that you mean that you were arrested for and charged with a felony and placed on some kind of adjudicated probation. If it was in fact adjudicated and you completed the term of your probation successfully then you don't have a conviction. The key word here is ADJUDICATED. You need to see if it in fact was. Is this what you mean when you say that you had it terminated? What I find perplexing is that most adjudicated terms probation apply to misdemeanors and not felonies. I'm not saying that it does not happen, just that it's unusual. So, if it was adjudicated or you had it exponged then you should not have a felony conviction on your record. Go back over your paperwork, call your attorney, do your homework and find out. Secondly, the conditions that surround the issue of whether or not you can or cannot own or purchase a firearm have nothing to do with what state you live in. Simply put: you cannot in any way shape or form own or purchase a firearm if you have any felony conviction. Period. The conditions of this law DO NOT vary from state to state. It is the same for every state. Why? Because the law which states that a convicted felon cannot own or purchase a firearm is a FEDERAL law which means that a state law or local ordinance cannot supercede it except in rare instances. I hope that this helped. Oh, and if your still living the kind of lifestyle that would dictate that you be arrested on drug charges please forego buying a firearm for now. If you've changed then happy and safe shooting.

Depends on where you live and the laws of your state or province. Your saying that you never had an offense added to your criminal record, and that you haven't been convicted of any other crimes, but you could still run into problems with obtaining a gun permitt. Check with your local authorities, they will be able to advise you better based on your background.

Good Luck

I work where we sell firearms. If you were never convicted, you do not have a felony, however if there is a felony on your record,
you may not purchase and own a gun. You must really look into this and get it cleared up, either way, you should stay on top of this, it could have a negative effect on your life.....................

The only way you can get a gun is to get your Governor to give you a pardon, and you have to have I think at least three people to give you a good recomendation, that is the law in South Carolina, but it could be different where you are but you can hunt with a Bow,but also check on your states laws just to be on the safe side.

each state has their own rules. In kentucky no felon can carry guns, and it has to be at least 5 years since the last time you were convicted of a drug charge

Go to clerk of the court where this happened an ask a document to petition the court to set aside court judgment against you.IF you have fulfilled all your obligations you stand a good chance of getting your record cleared. IT happened to me and they did.
