I dont believe that you can say it goes downhill, the thing is, after marriage, sometimes, the couple, gets the Idea that, now that they are married, the relationship, will work out, and that they have nothing to worry about. So they stop, going on dates, Or one or the other fails to realize, that the other has friends. And that he/ or she, cant always be around, at every scond of the others, life. Both have feelings, so they both need to remember, this little factor.....

It's very easy for a relationship to go downhill after marriage. Before marriage, the couple is working TOWARDS something--they're building the relationship to the highest point they can think of, marriage. After marriage, some couples might find themselves merely trying to maintain the relationship, which causes it to feel stagnate or that the "spark" they had is gone. Even worse, some couples stop working altogether and thats when relationships go downhill after marriage--and why we have a what, 50% divorce rate in the U.S.?

It really depends on how mature the relationship is. And no one can really tell that for sure. Once you get married, your perspective takes a different direction. You're more focused on each others needs instead of just worrying about yourself. Yes, some relationships do go downhill. But some flourish into something really beautiful when you love each other and work together to make a life for the both of you.

Marriages only go downhill when one does not maintenance oneself. Looks, character, a smile all the time ...are very importance and communication is the crux. For marriages to work, it's a lot of hard work but it's worth every single second.

Only if the couple lets it go downhill. I think a lot of people get married to fix a relationship, and then they realize it was the wrong choice, bc it only complicated the problems they had before.

Depends on the couple and their connection...

If they get marraied at the top a ski lift the marriage (party) will eventually go downhill very soon - that's for sure.

I would not say that they go down hill. You must always remember to keep a open mind even after marriage. Make sure the lines of communication stay open. Keep things in your sex life interesting sometimes it takes alot of work but in the end its worth it.

The marriage is good/great if both are equals . When one dominates more so than the other, friction arises. Try to keep an equal balance ; love, sex, child rearing, money. WORK TOGETHER, always be friends.
