I am 17 and I have dated only older guys for the past 2 years. The trouble is they keep getting older, it went from 18 to 21 to 26 and now I like a guy who is 30 years old and he likes me back. I have always been told that I am mature for my age so I have always chalked it up to that, but now I am starting to think maybe there is something wrong with me that I attract older guys and I do not like any guys my own age and I only like older guys. so my question is this, why would a 17 year old girl like a 30 year old guy and why would that 30 year old guy like a 17 year old girl?

ok to all those who think I need to wait a year for it to be legal, I will be 18 in a month, and two my father has been involved in my life so its not the "looking for a father figure" syndrome or anything. also the 30 yr old guy treats me like an adult and respects me as an equal.

Sounds like a non-problem to me! Liking older men is just like liking redheads, or people who quote Shakespeare, or people who are in good shape. it's just a preference, and you are more than entitled to it!

IT COULD BE YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOME GUIDANCE, OR A TYPE OF FATHER FIGURE THAT IS LACKING FROM YOUR LIFE--NO MATTER YOUR MATURITY LEVEL, KEEP IN MIND YOU ARE 17, IF YOU KEEP STAYING WITH OLDER MEN THE GUYS YOUR AGE WILL SEEM BORING. NO ONE SHOULD EVER ASK WHY A MAN WOULD WANT TO BE WITH A 17 GIRL, THERES ONLY ONE REASON. MAYBE THINK OF THE REASONS WHY YOU DON'T LIKE GUYS YOUR OWN AGE AND THAT CAN HELP YOU TO DEAL WITH WHATS GOING ON WITH THIS SITUATION.

i'm 16 and i like older men too. It's ok for you to like them, but there might be something to them liking you. Either they only like you because theyre sowing wild oats, or they just have a thing for illegals. it might have to do with your father. When you grow up without a father or a father that doesn't really act like one, you look for that father figure in someone else and that meshes with your want for company period. I've always been told i was years ahead of my age but that doesn't mean i'm ready for the lives of men double my age. It's best to wait a year untill you're legal. Whoever you date, make sure they like you for YOU not for your youth. Make sure they treat you like an adult and not like youre a baby and i don't mean baby like treats you gently but dresses you up in pigtails and cheerleading uniforms.. then theres something wrong. if you have any more questions, feel free to IM or email me. Well I am 33 I love older men.I have dated a few that were younger.Now I am engaged to someone who is my age.I am sure you will make the best choice.
