Life has ways of teaching us effectively the lessons we have missed, while growing up ourselves, the wounds we have received and ignored in ourselves, show up in our kids so that finally we can look at them and heal them.

That is the cosmic design our children teach us the toughest lesson by reflecting our truths to us so effectively, so first check within how did your stubbornness got created, once you heal that you will no longer create anymore stubbornness around you.

Nothing hurts us more than seeing our kids go through same helplessness we have felt and missed while growing up ourselves, so stop this cycle, heal your self, as this is your second chance, the first one was with your spouse.

Otherwise we subconsciously create the wounds we have received in our next generation. So go back to your roots and heal them, you owe it to your future generations.

I'm facing the same, but now I tend to ignore when their stubborn and try to divert their attention on something else. It works most of the time.

Give in you are the adult.
Also you dont want your child to spank your grandchild for the same.

Later explain by way of a story or game what's right.

I doubt Mitch has any children. What the hell do you know, Mitch? You're likely a man, with no children. You must be reapeating something your mom said about you.

Give him/her clear choices and follow through on your word.

Always maintain control and do not yield to the insubordination.
