but the truth is, there is no chance nor any hint that God will forgive satan. and satan knows about this so he wont ask for Gods forgiveness. Man may be forgiven from his sins if he will be able to know and do how to be forgiven by God, because God understands us as a human we have shortcomimgs, weaknesses, ignorance about things around us. But for satan as a spirit and was a Gods angel, he never needed anything like we do like food, shelter, medicines and others that when sometimes if we lack of any of these things we tend to commit wrongdoing wich we dont intend to do, just to live...I hope your question shoudnt bother you anymore for It is a BIG impossible.

He does not need to switch teams.
In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

I have heard that Lucifer is more of God's servant, being the tester, hangman, etc, than being merely God's opponent.
Whatever the case I believe God gave all sentient being freewill, and if the entity you call Satan exists, then I believe this entity has the ability to grow farther, or closer to God, just as you have this same ability.
Personally, I believe all beings will return to their source via many lifetimes. This is the only compassionate possibility. No loving God would allow his/her creation an eternity of suffering.
This knowledge has be repressed and stamped out via certain church member as well as certain roman emperors, namely Constantine and Justinian.
Edit: It has been postulated that man is a product of fallen angels working his/her way back into the heart of God. Read some of Edgar Cayce's writings on the matter. They are fascinating no matter what perspective you chose to believe.

God is not a man that he should lie. In his holy bible it states that
Satan is doomed and his time is short. He was judged when kicked out of heaven. Satan time is short and he is destined to take all who wants a ride. The lake of fire is a sure thing for all Satan and all who will be riding with him. So great advice, pray, believe in God and stop being mindful of what's going on with Satan. Let God perfect work be done.

God knows Satan well enough to know that Satan is not going to repent and ask God's forgiveness.
The Book of Revelation predicts what is going to happen to Satan in the future (and there is no indication of his repenting and asking forgiveness).
Cordially,
John

No idea. I actually read a novel with this theme, "Warhound and the World's Pain" by Michael Moorcock.
The novel said that the Renaissance was God's way of letting us know that Satan was no longer the enemy.
Interesting concept. I'm sure God would find a way ... or maybe He alredy has????

The ONLY sin that will not be forgiven is to blaspheme the holy spirit (in other words to really know the truth and lie against it). Satan has committed that crime at the expense of many human lives. He will not be forgiven. He knew exactly what he was doing and he continues with a vengeance. "Woe to the earth and to the sea...".

No way that will ever happen. Satan made his choice. He doesn't want to ask God for forgiveness, he wants to be God.

kurleylovescheese,
It wouldn't happen. I think that where this question is coming from is that many don't understand the nature of fallen angels, and heavenly beings for that matter. They are, for lack of a better word; absolutes.
The satanic angels have no forgiveness in them, neither can they ask. They are against God. It's in their nature. They are cursed like no other.

I have asked a similar question. It's an interesting thought, but not what God has said will be done.
