Yes, just because he/she won't know about it, or, you have no intention of speaking with the person whom you are cybering with, again.... doesn't mean your not cheating. If you are involved with someone, they trust you in ALL ways to be faithful to them and to respect them. Relationships need trust, respect and love... cybering, whether you've seen the person or not, is a broken trust..... and besides, if you must ask yourself this question to begin with, that already means you have guilt about the situation, which means it must be wrong.
My suggestion: Don't toy with peoples emotions. Either way people can get hurt, may it be you, your partner or the person whom you cybered with. Emotions are delicate, don't hurt them and life will be so much easier for everyone.

No, but I do think that if it leads to actual sex between the people who are cybering then it becomes cheating. Cybering is okay because it is a fantasy and fantasies are meant to be enjoyed. But, if the fantasies moves from the computer to your bedroom, where you are actually having sex with someone you met online during the cyber session then its a precursor to cheating...and once the cybering is actually consummated then it is cheating but, until then I think it is fine to indulge in a fantasy.
Also, if your partner is not comfortable with you cybering then should respect your partners wishes and not do so...because some partners consider it to be a form of cheating.

My ex was doing the cyber thing, and when she told me I decided it was O.K.. Later she took it too far and started meeting some of them. This is why she is now an ex.

Of course, just because it's not face to face you are still having a relationship with that person, and in my book that's cheating.

.Yes it is why would you even ask a dumb question like that. If you do that, it just so you have no respect for your partner.
