Personally, I'm a great driver. (I race, as well.) As for them being "terrible" drivers, that could be a number of things. Stress level is exhibited higher in women, than men. Also, distractions, like kids, errands, phone AND making it to work on time, would make for a less than perfect drive to the office. Or, certain ladies could be just ditsy and/or inexperienced due the general society's acceptance of courting rituals, such as the men escorting the women/having transporting control. (My ex loved to drive and would drive me EVERYwhere. After 4 years of that, when I hopped on the highway, I didn't feel near as confident as I do now. Just FYI.)

OR, maybe the aggressive drivers are the bad drivers & just friggin' impatient. (Though, I probably am one.)

It's not that many women are terrible drivers... insurance rates show that it's us men who are more dangerous...

But those women who are bad tend to be fifteen-car-pileups-waiting-to-happen. For example, on last year's show "Canada's Worst Driver", they had a woman who had totalled something like ten cars in seven years. They had another woman who would drive 20MPH on the highway and was afraid of making left turns to the point of it being a phobia.

That's just a stupid stereotype used in dumb jokes. Statistically, men are the worst drivers---males between the ages of 16-35 cause and are involved in the most road accidents. That's why males' insurance rates, and likelyhood of death, are higher than women's.

I am not a terrible driver. I can take a two-track at high speed, while on the cell phone, adjusting the radio, talking to the back seat driver, all without spilling my drink and come out without a single scratch to my car, or to anything or anyone. You just have to know how to do it!!!

They are not,well look at me,I drive car for 3 years and a motorbike for 7 years.I drive one race here in Novi Sad,it's called auto cross...
Not every woman is a terrible driver,there is many guys that drive worst then my grandmother:)
