Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip, setup their tent, and fall asleep. Some hours later, Holmes wakes his faithful friend. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."
Watson replies, "I see millions of stars."

"What does that tell you?"

Watson ponders for a minute. "Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Timewise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, it's evidence the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?"

Holmes is silent for a moment, then speaks. "Watson, you idiot, someone has stolen our tent."

A fishy tale >
A man calls home to his wife and says,
"Honey, I have been asked to go fishing up in Canada with my boss and several of his friends. We'll be gone for a week,
This is a good opportunity for me to get that promotion I've been wanting, so could you please pack enough clothes for a week and set out my rod and tackle box?,
"We're leaving from the office, and I will swing by
the house to pick my things up....
"And, oh, please pack my new blue silk pajamas."
"The wife thinks this sounds a bit odd, but being the good wife, she does exactly what her husband asked.
The following weekend he came home a little tired, but otherwise looking good.
The wife welcomes him home and asks if he caught many fish.
He says, "Yes! Lots of walleye, some blue gill, and a few pike. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk pajamas like I asked you to do?"
The wife replies, "I did. They're in the tackle box."
