It should not take any length off the hair it should only take out the excess weight. it is just the same as thinning it .yes it can help make it curlier also.

Texturizing your hair takes no hair from the bottom. It is taking hair from the "interior" of your hair. Imagine all your fingers are strands of hair. Now eliminated every other finger. This is like razoring, which is a type of texturizing. The new space in-between your "fingers" or hair represents area your hair will now have free for movement...which is to say wave or curl. It is a good technique to release inhibited, heavy hair for some needed texture, swing and maybe a bit of lift at the scalp.
However, if your hair is very coarse, it can make the hair a bit frizzy. A new razor should be used. Also, use the products your stylist recommends to prevent this.

It all depends on the type of razor cut you get. They can texture it different ways (by holding the blade a certain way) to do different things. I have been my hair textured for about 3 years now....I love it the cut stays a lot longer. It keeps the shape beter is what I'm trying to say. Length isn't and issue either...they can cut as much or as little as you want.
Contact your local stylist she'll be able to explain it lot better than I can.

If you are just getting it texurized then it doesn't take length it only makes layers under the existing hair length to create body and thin ends. Yes, it will make curly hair curlier. It will also make split ends inside your style.

A lot if you're not careful. You can get your entire haircut using a razor and you really have to watch the person who's doing it. Yes, it can enhance curls and make your hair more wavy. The razor is good if you want the "flippy" effect. This can be a high-maintenance haircut, so make sure you know what you're getting into!

It depends on how much the hair dresser wants to take off. You have have only the ends texturized or various inches. Ask your hair dresser. Also, I did hear it is good for curley hair.
