The Holy Qur'an, I believe under penalty of death, cannot be changed, and has been the same Qur'an from the beginning...

The Bible is based on Hebrew manuscripts (Old Testament) and Greek Manuscripts (New Testament).

These manuscripts derive from a single original in each case (i.e., each book of the Bible). Through the years, copies were made from the original manuscripts.

Today, the Bible has been translated into hundreds (possibly thousand or more) languages, and there are two billion or more printed Bibles available on earth.

In English there are many translated Bibles available. As the English language changes through the years, a new translation (from the original Hebrew and Greek) is made available.

Cordially,
John

I am not sure how many bibles there are; but for sure, there is only one Qur'an and it has never been changed since the time it was revealed, about 1,400 years ago - in arabic.
Note: a translation of the Qur'an is NOT the Qur'an.. it is usually an intepretation of the meaning of the Qur'an. Therefore, although the arabic Qur'an has been translated into numerous languages, the 'number' of Qur'ans is only ONE.
