A friend asked me today, " I accepted God in January, why is my life still so plagued with problems? Why God don't help me?" As I am not of his faith, I kept a passive decorum. But I felt it was a good question and a lot of people probably hear that too.

To pray that our Lives be totally free of problems and trials is a Fools prayer. To find the Divine and expect the Divine to pluck out every blade of weed is to have seen the Divine Mansion but not enter its door.

How is it even remotely possible to believe finding God, would be a cure all of all problems? If your friend's "spiritiual pal" led him into his faith with a promise of a trouble free life then Shame on that spiritual friend for misleading a soul in need. Should your friend lose faith and abandon his path, most time they will be 100% Anti-that religion. By making false promises, this "spiritual pal" has pretty much destroyed the practice of your friend, because the entry into the Faith was stained by a flawed motive, misguided understanding and Lies.

In ANY of the Spiritual paths, all the saints, prophets and sages had to go through the toughest and most challenging trials...

Prophet Jude's life was practically yanked from under him, but he came out of it stronger, more faithful, wiser and ready to serve others as a source of inspiring others to the path of his Lord.

St. Francis of Assisi, was plagued and totally oppressed by Shadows, Spirits and Demons, but he arose of it a highly wise person, checkout his prayer... it is said to be one of the prayers Mother Teresa did daily when she was alive... and look how SHE turned out... a Gem among men.

The Prophet Muhammad was threatened, hunted and almost killed, but from fear arose strength and faith... and it was through this faith that a Spider was so touched that it weaved a covering to shield the prophet from harm... but pain and fear the prophet still had to go through .

Modern day Buddhist Monk, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, lost his country and lives as a refugee and amidst all this spends everyday in service of others, Counseling, inspiring and advising those willing to listen to live by the code of Peace, Harmony and Kindness.

Hindu Yogi and avatar of Peace, Mahatma Gandhi-Ji inspired millions, but first he had to go through criticism from people from every walk of life.

Many many many more of such examples.... to think that God created the Heavens and The Earth to be an Utopia is Wishful Thinking ( especially after Adam & Eve got kicked out of Eden) but instead I believe our troubles are there to help us learn lessons in life to improve ourselves... How would we know what true love is if we did not encounter hate? And knowing about love can we then Love the unlovable? Jesus did, Buddha did... do we? If we cannot even love an enemy ... who are we kidding? Loving God is enough? NO... of course not... even JESUS himself... had to love the people and at the same time also love God... what more the rest of us

Do we really expect to "find religion" and let it stay that way? If we did expect, then forget it it won't... the finding religion part is the easy part. Now comes the hard part where the Divine will polish YOU as a devotee from a raw diamond into a gem of Divine's Pristine Love. THAT I think is why your friend's life is plagued with problems....

God answers all prayers. Sometimes the answer is "yes," sometimes "no," and sometimes "not now." God wants what is best for us. Sometimes it is hard to see the grander scheme of things in a moment of hardship. For example:

A woman that I used to work with lost her youngest son to SIDS when he was only a few months old. This was, without a doubt the worst thing that had happened in her life, and probably always would be. However, after the loss of her son, her mother (whom she had been leaning on) would not tolerate her wild behavior anymore (drinking and being angry). her mother told her that she wasn't going to put up with it anymore. This situation lead her to get out of a horribly abusive marriage, move to a new town, and start over with her two older sons. She found a good job and slowly bettered her situation. She now has a lovely house and is in a loving relationship. She will always miss her son, but she has told me that those events led to one of the best changes in her life and she is comforted that she will see her son again in heaven.

Sometimes we don't always know what is best for us. Also, it is good to remember that God is not a vending machine...He created this world and it runs on its own, God can change whatever he sees fit, but He is not a kid with a game board manipulating every detail for His own amusement.

That is the problem people ar ehaving. People think that deciding to follow GOD is a way to get out of problems and stuff. Thats not true. I've been a christian my whole life, and if anything, Chritians' lives are harder. because you have more challenges to face everyday, between trying to stay in the norms of your belief, and trying to live and integrates in the world we are living in. Your faith is what saves you. Temptations are what make you stronger. And you will get them, a lot of troubles, a lot of temptations, but that justa christians life. Being a Christian doesnt mean having an easy, it means having faith, trusting in your Lord, being reasy for challenges, and coming out in victory. Hold tight, the reward is near!

Some people have the false impression that when they accept God into their lives that their problems will simply vanish. This is not true. God gives us the means to better handle our difficulties in life. Many times He will allow us to continue in some situations so that we may learn from the consequences of our mistakes, thus enabling us to resist a problem that may present itself again in the future. We can develop patience and perserverance when going through such things.

Tell your friend not to lose heart, but to be aware that God is molding him/her to better live life and serve others. It could be that what your friend is experiencing could help another with whom he may come into contact with in the future (i.e., by sharing what God did through him during that time).

Another aspect could be even though your friend has accepted God into his life that he continues to live in a way counter to God's designs. Has he repented of things that he once did or is he continuing in that same behavior? As we enter into a relationship with God we should show signs of growth in our new life. Please understand I am not making accusation but pointing out possibilities for his ongoing problems. I do not claim to know the mind of God and only you know the circumstances of your friend.

Encourage him not to lose heart and know that I will pray for you both.

God bless you and your friend.

Satan is attacking you to make you think this very question, why is God allowing this to happen, but through everything you can see God is there, right there with you, and you can use these experiences to glorify Him, and to draw closer to Him, noone every said the Christian life was going to be easy, the bible clearly states when you become a Christian, you will be persecuted.

Regardless of your path...christian or otherwise....

and regardless of whether or not god exists...

I know of NO religion that promises you an easy life. In fact, historically those of faith..any faith have been persecuted and executed for it. Many consider suffering to be tests of faith and/or learning experiences. Even if there is a god it is obvious that we are expected to help ourselves.

Because merely having faith is not a cure-all for every problem, just as an antibiotic will not cure every wound on which it is applied. Not every apple is sweet, not every drink is satisfying. You say your prayers and you then help yourself, asking god for guidance, strength or whatever, but god is not a genie... he doesn't grant wishes or wave a magic wand and make everything better.

Tell your friend to ask for guidance, strength and fortitude, then tell him/her to get off their butts and get it done, whatever it is.

You or your friend may have found religion, but do you have a relationship with GOd? There is a difference. He should not give up, we do not serve an Instamatic God. The race is not given to the swift, but to him that endures.

For some coming to Christ, began a down hill slide of the worst kind.
Often your life gets much worse and can be that way for years!

Some say it is the Devil trying to bring you back.
Some say it is a test of God to see if you will stay.

I say it is a bit of both, and it can be a rock ride!

Religion is not the answer I'm a christian and whne I got saved it seemed like the whole world was against me. Whe you have given your life to christ you take off your old yoke of sin and spiritual blindness. and put on the new yoke which is christ Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. In another versse it says if any man deny himself lt him take up his cross (daily) and follow me
