The Lord Almighty has many reasons not to answer our prayers sooner. Many times our prayers can cause us more harm than good. Let me give you an example.

If a man is a poor fisherman, who has the proclivity to become an alchoholic, but has a good wife, children and regularly gets enough catch to feed his family but not to buy liquor. If that man keeps asking the Lord to give him a good big catch so he does not have to toil all day to catch a few fish after a lot of work. AND... the Lord listens to him and gives him a ton of fish one day that turns him into a rich man...

AND... he begins to drink, and get into brawls, and abandons his family responsibilities and his wife abandons him and goes with the children to her parents or somewhere he can not find them... was God fulfilling his prayer good or bad?

The Lord knows what is best for us. Prayers are like pulling water from a well. You have to make a lot of pulls before the water comes out. If you abandon after ten pulls and the well was deeper and required twelve, you will drop the water before it was pulled out of the well. When we ask something from the Lord at times they are fulfilled immediately. At other times he creates conditions for what we are asking become useful to us.

For example, if I was asking for a new car, but I am a teenager whose driving skills are not completely developed. Instead of giving me a new car right then and there, I would allow opportunities first for the person to develop his driving skills, THEN give the new car, so it is not trashed.

In all cases the good Lord does not deny us what is good for us and even in the delays in prayers at times there is merit and benefit to us. Besides it keeps us connected to him, for prayer is a powerful bridge between the Creator and the created such as us.

I hope this makes sense. May the Lord hear your prayers if they are good for you and sooner! Amen.

Because there is a time for everything and God answers comes
when he sees fit not when we want him to. Believe me whenyou pray God promises to answer as long as you pray in the spirit and in truth. Humble yuorself as a child because remember he is your FATHER, and beside him there is no other. Again you should read some spiritual books to help along the way and it will edify you to some knowledge of bibical views in question. A good
book to get you started is the Scripture Key Book found at any
bible store. Hope I have been helpful. Even though the answer is slow coming God is always on time for your need. So keep praying until the answer comes.

Because, much as we'd like for it to be, God is not Burger King. You're not going to have it your way in 5 minutes or less. Think of it as an elaborate painting. It takes time to set everything up just so, to make all the right things to happen in the right sequence to make something incredible. Even if things don't look so great during some of those earlier steps.

Well there are a lot of times that he has answered our prayers, but not the way we wanted him too or expected him too. There have been many times in my life that I thought he hadn't even answered my prayers, but later on I would be able to see that he had answered them in the way that "HE" knew was best for me at that time, not what I thought was best for me. For instance years ago I thought I was in love with this guy, I really wanted to be with him. But God did not answer that prayer by letting me be with this guy. Several months later I learned that he had beaten his girlfriend so bad that she was in the hospital. So he did answer my prayer in a way that benefited me, even though I didn't think he was listening.

2 Things:

1. Allah's Acts
2. Allah's Decisions

Your question falls in catagory 2.

1st thing, He is God, our logic, our brain created by Him with its limitations, we human are even so limited we cant even get knowledge of all world, Imagine about Him, Who is the Creator and Lord of the Universe and Creator of uman Beings and Man kind, If you program a rebot or Computer, it cant not exceed your brain or thinking capability.

How do you think a person can judge WHY behind Allah's decesions?

Anyone of His creatures, can tel you the reason?

But in genaric, as described by the Allah, Prophetand Scholars regarding prayers:

Pray is a wish we convery to Allah for a specific purpose, having a faith that no one in the world expect Him, is able to fulfil your wish. So by having the faith on Him when you pray:

Your prayers could be accepted
Could Be Not:

If accepted its ok if Not... then thats not mean He REJECTS, but He actually reserves your prayers to award you at right time, or some other thing better than you wish

or

He is the Lord he knows the after effects of your wish, might be you are asking something that may be harmful for you and can can cause you trouble or society due to you, so He tranform your wish into something useful.

for example Sometimes we ask for a flower, and when we dont get it we say Pray has not been Fulfil, matter is that God might has reserved a Bunch of flowers even garden for you and we are just asking for a single flower.

Best Quran define : (I would try to translate its meanings in similar words)

"It may be someone (human) ask something which he like and it is not good for him, and Might Allah award him something which he dont like and its better for him"

We are social, For example Allah give us something, which might be best, but due to other social requirements we may not be able o follow it or we get disappoint on Good things.

So what is the better way to ask ALLAH:

MAY ALLAH (GOD) GIVE US THE MOST WHICH YOU LIKE AND BEST FOR US, AND ALSO IT WILL BE LIKED BY MYSELF AND MIGHT NOT HARMFUL FOR ANYONE.

simple and you will see your Pray will be answered inshaAllah.

a GOOD TIP: (personal)

purchase a register / notebook / dairy

whenever you make a wish or pray to Allah, note down it in with the date and time and with the pray and a separate coloumn for status. YES/ NO /PENDING and last column of decision date.

Then you will see your Prayers actually answerd, but nnormally we wish thousands of thins and it came true but we actually dont realize what are answered and what not. Try to maintain the God's blessings.

May allah bless you! Amen

Why is it that most people only pray to God when they need something. Why can't you just drop by and say hello especially when things are going good and you feel confident you can wing it without His help. Little did you know that God was always there. Remember the poem titled the footprints?

God doesn't fulfill prayers. You see that something needs to be done and you do it. You work your *** off to change something. Why the hell would you credit some absentee father for all YOUR hard work?

Some prayers are answered immediately, some aren't. Only GOD's timing is perfect.

God always answers our prayers, but His timing is not always our timing. We should be thankful for that. He knows everything, and He knows what is best when. We would mess up our lives so badly if we were in charge!
